A tenacious investigative journalist with a moral compass too stubborn to break, Miles Upshur followed a cryptic lead to the gates of Mount Massive Asylum. What he found inside defied all reason — twisted science, monstrous cruelty, and something far worse lurking behind glass and shadow. With nothing but his camera and a drive to expose the truth, he navigated horrors no sane person could withstand.

But as the lines between observer and participant blurred, so did reality. In his final moments — battered, broken, but unrelenting — Miles stumbled into a hall of flickering light, recording right up until the screen turned to static.

When he awoke, there were no walls, no institution. Just mist, and the ever-present sense that something was watching. He still clutches his camera, though the battery never dies. Perhaps the Entity finds value in storytellers. Or perhaps it simply enjoys watching him run.

PERKS.
Investigative Instinct
When you interact with a generator for at least 8 seconds, this perk activates.
Once activated:
- The aura of the Killer is revealed to you for 3 seconds.
- If the Killer is within 12 meters of you when this perk activates, you gain 10% Haste for 4 seconds.

Press Credentials
Your keen eye for detail helps you spot opportunity even in chaos.
While carrying an item, you gain increased aura reading:
- You see the auras of survivors healing within 16/20/24 meters.
- When any survivor is hooked, survivor's auras are revealed to you for 4/5/6 seconds.
Additionally, if you're in a chase while injured, the killer’s aura is revealed to all other survivors for 3 seconds after breaking line of sight.

Documented Resilience
When injured, you push yourself beyond normal limits.
- While injured, you vault windows 3/4/5% faster and recover from the Exhausted status effect 20% faster.
- Each time you escape a chase that lasted at least 15 seconds, you gain a 5% action speed bonus to healing, vaulting, and sabotage for 10 seconds.
This perk deactivates if you are fully healed and reactivates once injured again.
